Episode 1 Ventures is a London venture capital firm that backs B2B software founders at pre-seed and seed, typically as an early institutional investor. Its portfolio spans software for sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, financial services and logistics.

The firm has raised around £170m across its funds, including a £76m third fund in 2024 backed by British Patient Capital among others, and has invested in more than 65 companies. It says roughly three quarters of its second-fund portfolio went on to raise a Series A, and it runs its own data platform, Athena, to support sourcing.
