JLR Star is a private, London-based principal investment and investment advisory company founded by two financial services entrepreneurs. It is not connected to the carmaker JLR. As an investor it takes direct equity stakes, and occasionally debt, in young companies from pre-seed through to pre-Series A, and expects a lead investor in each round and a board observer or non-executive seat.

It is broadly sector-agnostic but has a particular interest in securities issuance and administration, DLT payment technology, related data and analytics, investor relations and reputational risk services. Its advisory arm supports fundraising and go-to-market work across Europe and North America.
