Lloyd's Lab is the innovation programme of Lloyd's, the London specialist insurance marketplace, established in 2018\. Its InsurTech Accelerator helps start-ups and scale-ups test and gain traction for new insurance products and services with Lloyd's market participants. Selected teams receive coworking space in the Lloyd's building, mentoring and direct access to underwriters, brokers and other potential customers. Alongside the accelerator, the Lab runs Lab Explore and Lab Discovery programmes, events and innovation tools for the market, and maintains an alumni network of past cohort companies. It operates as an accelerator rather than an equity investor.
