Martlet Capital is a Cambridge-based early-stage investor that provides patient capital to B2B deep technology and life science start-ups with protected intellectual property. It concentrates on pre-seed and seed rounds and has a strong preference for companies in and around Cambridge, with all of its holdings based in the UK.

The firm has made more than 75 investments and recorded several exits. Its operations are managed by EMV Capital Partners, an FCA-regulated manager that also arranges co-investment alongside Martlet and offers hands-on support to portfolio companies. Sector interests include AI, quantum, semiconductors, sensing, new materials, space and sustainable technologies.
