Mosaic Ventures is an early-stage venture firm that now invests only in AI application-layer companies, backing founders it considers to have unusual insight into new categories. It invests at seed and Series A with cheques of $1m to $10m, and leads or co-leads up to around ten new investments a year.

The firm was co-founded by Simon Levene and Toby Coppel, who met as graduate school room-mates in 1995; Chandar Lal joined in 2020 and became a partner at the end of 2024\. Mosaic has invested across Europe and the US and is based on St George Street in London's Mayfair.
