Phystech Ventures is a deep tech venture capital firm that backs start-ups commercialising fundamental science. It invests at seed and Series A and often acts as the first institutional investor.

Sectors in its portfolio include AI and machine learning, energy, mobility, biotechnology and space, and it has backed spin-outs from several universities across a number of countries. The firm is based in London and was co-founded by Ivan Protopopov, who leads it with Daniel Shaposhnikov.
