PXN Ventures, formerly Par Equity, is the venture arm of PXN Group, formed when Par Equity merged with Praetura Ventures and Praetura Investments. It invests from pre-seed to Series B+ in businesses in the North of England and Scotland, positioning itself as an investor built in and for the North.

Capital comes through several vehicles, including EIS and knowledge-intensive EIS funds, a VCT, the PraeSeed fund, Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II and Greater Manchester mandates, and a scale-up fund. The group reports about £760m in assets under management and more than 185 businesses backed.
