Selvedge Venture invests in pre-seed, seed and Series A-ready start-ups working on age-related medical conditions, specifically metabolic syndrome, cancer and neurodegenerative disease. It concentrates on companies at the intersection of biotechnology, machine learning and integrated health data.

The firm was set up around 2020 by founding partner Alasdair Thong and co-founder and general partner Robert Thong, who previously co-led the life sciences group at Capgemini. Its portfolio includes Carbometrics, Ochre Bio, Sanome, Multiomic, Exogene and Avro Life Science. Its offering is restricted to professional investors.
