Sixth Wave Ventures is an early-stage investor based in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, that backs UK startups with proprietary, science-based technologies aimed at global problems. It invests at pre-seed and seed stage and targets exits within three to five years.

The firm runs a hybrid model. Its angel group of 25 to 30 high-net-worth or sophisticated investors commits at least £50k each per year, giving roughly £2.5m to £3m of annual investment capacity. A network of institutional investor partners co-invests and supports follow-on rounds, and an advisory team of non-executive directors and sector specialists reviews portfolio companies each quarter. Portfolio companies include Bot Hive, Easology, IncluTech, D-Time and Infersens.
