Techstart Ventures invests in startups at inception and pre-seed stage in Scotland and Northern Ireland. It looks for teams with unique insight, global ambition and a disciplined approach to iteration, and writes first cheques of up to £750k with capacity to follow on.

The firm leads or co-leads rounds and co-invests selectively. In Northern Ireland it manages the Techstart initiative, supported by Invest Northern Ireland, and in Scotland it manages the Scottish Growth Scheme – Techstart Ventures Equity Finance fund, backed by the Scottish Government.
