Atoa is a London-based payment acquirer, authorised by the FCA as a UK payment institution, that lets businesses take payments through open banking and cards from a single platform. Customers can pay directly from their bank app, which the company presents as a way to lower fees and speed up settlement, or by Visa and Mastercard on Atoa's own card terminals.

The service covers several channels: SMS and email payment links, QR codes for in-store payments, POS terminals, and online checkouts. It also offers buy now, pay later options and an agentic payments product that allows AI agents to authorise and carry out payments. Merchants manage transactions and funds from one dashboard, with a seven-day free trial on sign-up.
