Bakkali is an online grocery shop focused on Middle Eastern and halal food for cultural communities in the UK. Customers can order halal chicken, beef and lamb, fresh produce, dairy, frozen pastries, spices and hard-to-find pantry brands for nationwide home delivery. The store runs a rewards scheme and a referral programme, and publishes recipes alongside its range. It was started by Issam Abu-Aisheh, whose family roots are in Gaza, with the aim of making familiar ingredients from home easier to buy for diaspora shoppers and anyone cooking Middle Eastern dishes.
