Isomorphic Labs applies AI to drug design, building on the AlphaFold lineage from Google DeepMind, from which it was spun out in 2021\. Its IsoDDE engine models how molecules interact with protein targets in order to design candidate medicines faster than traditional discovery methods, and the company runs partnered programmes with large pharmaceutical groups alongside an internal pipeline. Headquartered in London with offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Lausanne, it announced a $2.1bn Series B in May 2026 led by Thrive Capital, with Alphabet, GV, MGX, Temasek, CapitalG and the UK Sovereign AI Fund participating. The company has said it aims to move its first candidates into clinical trials.
