Segura develops portable testing for heavy metals in drinking water. Its kit pairs single-use electrochemical sensor strips, based on anodic stripping voltammetry, with a handheld reader, letting field technicians measure lead and copper at the tap in under five minutes instead of waiting weeks for laboratory results. Data syncs to a cloud dashboard that supports compliance reporting for UK, US and EU rules. Founded in 2023 with roots in the University of Oxford, the Oxford company has piloted with New York City's Department of Environmental Protection and received early funding from Founders Factory.
