Taught by Humans is a Bristol-based learning technology company. Its platform, Dotly, turns a company's own documents and know-how into personalised training for onboarding, mandatory compliance courses and upskilling, including AI skills for each role. Learners can ask questions and practise scenarios, while managers see assessment-based data on who is ready rather than simple completion rates. The company describes itself as learning scientists first and grew out of years of teaching people directly. It was founded in 2023 by Laura Gemmell, who holds a PhD in AI education.
