The Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) works with UK government, the automotive industry and universities to speed up the industrialisation of zero-emission vehicle technologies. Based at the University of Warwick in Coventry, it manages capital and research and development funding such as the Automotive Transformation Fund and collaborative R&D competitions. For early-stage companies it runs the Technology Developer Accelerator Programme (TDAP) and the Mobilise programme, which offer grant funding and support to start-ups and scale-ups developing propulsion, battery and related technologies. It is a public funding route rather than an equity investor.
