Agronomics is a London-listed (AIM) investment company, incorporated in the Isle of Man, that holds a portfolio of venture-stage businesses in cellular agriculture. Its focus is so-called clean food: products made in controlled environments using biotechnology, synthetic biology and tissue engineering rather than conventional farming.
The portfolio spans cultivated meat and fish, precision-fermented proteins such as egg white and dairy, and fermentation services, with holdings including Meatly, OneGo and Liberation Labs. The thesis rests on the view that conventional agriculture faces supply-chain, climate and disease risks that alternative protein producers can address. Because it is a quoted vehicle, public investors can gain exposure to these private companies through its shares.
