Ascension is a London venture firm, based on Great Portland Street, that writes pre-seed and seed cheques for mission-driven founders. It invests in fintech, consumer and deep tech companies across the UK, Europe and North America, and looks for founders it considers outliers.
One of its best-known results is Credit Kudos, which it backed at seed in 2019 and which Apple later acquired, giving Ascension roughly a tenfold return on that holding. The firm's website does not publish its fund sizes or typical cheque, but it lists a London office and a general enquiries contact for founders.
