Exceptional Ventures is a London-based, science-driven venture capital firm that invests in early-stage companies working on human health, wellness and longevity. Its stated goal is to maximise what it calls Joyspan, meaning longer, healthier and happier lives.
The firm was founded in 2022 by Matt Cooper and Paolo Pio, entrepreneurs and investors with more than 400 investments between them. It invests across three themes: prevention, early detection and risk assessment, and smarter treatment and care delivery. Its portfolio covers more than 50 companies in the UK, Europe and the US. Exceptional Ventures LLP is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
