Hedosophia is a London investment firm founded in 2012 by Ian Osborne. It invests globally with a focus on growth-stage internet and technology companies in Europe, the United States and China, and has had offices in London, Los Angeles and Beijing.
It was the partner behind the Social Capital Hedosophia SPACs with Chamath Palihapitiya, and had deployed more than $1.5bn across its investment platforms by mid-2020. In 2021 it was reported to be raising a fifth fund. It is a growth investor rather than a seed backer, so it is most relevant to later-stage companies.
