Kero Development Partners is an early-stage investor in engineering businesses, based at the Innovation Centre on the Sci-Tech Daresbury campus in Cheshire. It was set up in 2017 by Roger Doo and Keith Jones after they left Henrob, the engineering company Keith Jones had founded.
The firm looks for patented or patentable technologies with a committed core team of inventors or founders, and favours ventures with social or environmental benefits. Alongside capital it offers strategic advice, intellectual property strategy, exit planning, bookkeeping and operational support. Its portfolio includes companies such as AssetCool and Tribol Braking.
