Mbuyu Capital Partners is a London firm regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. It invests its own capital, often alongside other investors, in businesses that cut greenhouse gas emissions or improve climate resilience. Its main focus is food and agriculture, including plant-based and cultivated protein, climate-resilient seeds and integrated pest management.
Its portfolio includes cultivated-meat company Mosa Meat and plant-protein producer Rift Protein in the Netherlands, along with agribusiness holdings in southern and eastern Africa. The firm also invests in special-situation debt and equity deals for companies that need capital quickly and have a clear exit. Managing partner Michiel Timmerman previously worked in institutional asset management.
