MD ONE Ventures describes itself as Europe's first venture capital firm dedicated to defence and national security, founded in 2021. It is a UK appointed representative of an FCA-authorised firm.
The firm backs product-led deep tech companies with dual-use technology for commercial and government customers, investing from pre-seed to Series A and aiming to follow on in two later rounds. It is agnostic across subsectors and backs both software and hardware businesses founded in, or operating substantially in, the UK and Europe. Portfolio companies include Milvus, an Oxford advanced-materials company, the disease-forecasting firm Airfinity, the satellite thermal-imaging company SatVu and the drone maker XTEND, now listed in New York.
