Mercia Ventures is the venture capital arm of Mercia Asset Management PLC, a UK investment group that also provides business loans, growth capital and private equity to regional businesses. It backs high-growth founders in AI and software, consumer, deep tech and life sciences, and will consider strong businesses outside those sectors.
It provides initial investments of up to £10m, from early traction through to international scale, and emphasises a strong presence outside London. Across the group, Mercia reports more than £2.5bn invested in over 2,600 UK businesses, and it manages vehicles including the Northern VCTs.
