Meridian Health Ventures, previously KHP Ventures, began in 2021 as the UK's first NHS-backed venture fund, created by Guy's and St Thomas', King's College Hospital and King's College London. It renamed itself in 2025 when US health systems such as Cedars-Sinai joined NHS trusts including UCLH and South London and Maudsley as founding partners.
The London-based fund invests in digital health, medtech and healthcare enterprise software, typically from pre-seed to Series A with seed as its main focus. Portfolio companies gain access to hospital partners for clinical validation and pilots, and the fund also helps UK founders expand into the US market.
