Micota Capital is a family office that invests its founders' own capital alongside money from close friends and family. It was set up after its founder spent 25 years managing institutional capital at GI Partners and Credit Suisse, and it applies large-deal practice to smaller opportunities. In private equity it backs early-stage, asset-based and buy-and-build businesses, often as a co-founder. Current holdings include a software-enabled medical technology company in North Carolina, specialist children's services, a special-needs school and a psychological services provider. It also builds operationally intensive real-estate platforms and provides advisory services.
