TRICAPITAL is an angel investment syndicate established in the Scottish Borders in 2004 and now active across Scotland. Its members, many of them former founders, have backed more than 100 companies. The syndicate typically leads initial investments of between £250,000 and £2 million, syndicating with co-investors such as Scottish Enterprise for larger rounds. Historic activity spans software and AI, life sciences and healthtech, engineering, clean energy, agri and aqua tech, and defence, although it is not sector-constrained. Alongside capital, members provide mentoring, board participation and introductions to their network from first pitch through to exit.
