Airspection is a Glasgow drone company founded in 2022 by University of Strathclyde engineering graduates. It builds rugged, long-endurance VTOL drones that launch from safe, accessible sites and fly beyond visual line of sight to hard-to-reach infrastructure, carrying out inspections and light logistics without putting people at risk. Its main focus is offshore wind, with work also covering onshore wind, power lines, rail and search and rescue. In 2026 it flew a shore-launched aircraft to a working wind farm in Liverpool Bay as part of the Civil Aviation Authority's BVLOS sandbox, and it has worked with ORE Catapult on demonstrations.
