Ignota Labs takes on drug candidates that have stalled because of safety or toxicity issues and works to bring them back into development. Its SAFEPATH platform uses deep learning to identify why a compound is toxic and how the problem arises, so the molecule can be refined or repurposed. The company is building its own pipeline of rescued assets and aims to move its first programme into early clinical trials. Founded in 2021 and based at St John's Innovation Centre in Cambridge, it raised a $6.9m seed round in 2025 co-led by Montage Ventures and AIX Ventures.
