Recondition is a Manchester-based adaptive fashion start-up that designs clothing intended to look good while being easier to wear for people with disabilities, injuries or medical devices such as stomas. Its first product line is a range of adaptive jeans for women, alongside a 'Covers that Care' collection, developed through a user-centred design process and produced in small runs to avoid overproduction. The brand was founded in January 2023 after its founder broke her ankle and experienced the gaps in accessible clothing first-hand, and it also publishes guidance on adaptive clothing and ostomy lifestyle.
