GV, launched in 2009 as Google Ventures, is the venture capital arm of Alphabet, which is its sole limited partner. It manages more than $13 billion and invests from seed through growth in technology and life sciences companies. The firm is based in the San Francisco Bay Area with offices in New York, Cambridge (Massachusetts) and London, from which it covers European founders. UK companies in its portfolio include Monzo, Isomorphic Labs, Lawhive, Multiverse and Nothing, where GV has typically participated in later rounds alongside other growth investors rather than leading the earliest financings.
