Ufi Ventures is the investment arm of the Ufi VocTech Trust, a London charity, and has invested its own capital since 2019. It backs vocational technology: digital tools that help adults gain work skills and help employers develop staff, with an emphasis on social mobility and learners furthest from opportunity.
Initial cheques are typically around £250k, with up to £1m more available for follow-ons, usually alongside co-investors. It funds seed and early-stage companies with revenue; pre-revenue ventures are pointed to Ufi's grants. The Ufi Ventures Challenge Fund, launched in November 2024, targets skills shortages arising from economic transition.
