Candor is a qualitative research tool that lets product and marketing teams interview synthetic users before committing budget to recruiting real participants. Users describe a target audience and can upload existing material such as customer interviews, support tickets, survey data or market reports. Candor then searches published sources, including government statistics, industry reports and peer-reviewed research, to build synthetic participants.
Each participant attribute is labelled with the type of evidence behind it, so teams can trace where answers come from. Interviews follow up on responses and surface objections, and the process ends in a report. The platform suggests research approaches for users without methods training. It was built by Highline Beta, a venture studio.
