IONATE develops the Hybrid Intelligent Transformer, which combines conventional and solid-state technology to give precise power-flow control and real-time data without the cost and fragility of fully solid-state designs. Its Aurora platform links these devices into a distributed control layer so that utilities and data centres can manage power quality, efficiency and resilience across a network. The company is headquartered in London with an office in Vienna and is testing its technology with grid operators. In 2025 it raised a $17m Series A led by AlbionVC to expand into the US.
