Zide is a desktop application for software developers that brings the main parts of the development workflow into a single window. Users can start from an issue, have an AI agent work in their repository, review diffs, commit changes, open pull requests and check CI results without switching between browser tabs and separate tools. It works with GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket, with issue support for GitHub and GitLab.
The app is built with Tauri and Rust and includes a full Git client with hunk staging, interactive rebase, bisect and worktrees. Its assistant supports models from several providers, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI and DeepSeek, as well as local models. Users can bring their own API keys or subscriptions, or use included credits. A free download is offered.
