Entrepreneur First is a talent investor founded in London in 2011. Rather than backing existing start-ups, it selects individuals before they have a company or co-founder, runs a cohort programme to help them find a co-founder and an idea, and then invests in the resulting company.
It offers equity-free support during the ideation phase, up to $250k at company formation and follow-on funding of up to $5m through to Series B. Programmes currently run in London, Bangalore and San Francisco, and its portfolio is valued at more than $16bn in aggregate.
