Techstars is a US-founded pre-seed and early-stage investor that runs three-month, mentorship-led accelerator programmes in cities around the world, including London. Founded in Boulder, Colorado in 2006, it describes itself as a pre-seed venture capital firm and has accelerated more than 10,000 founders across 150-plus countries. Alongside its accelerators it runs the Founder Catalyst pre-accelerator and Startup Weekend. Its UK alumni in this directory include Level2, which went through the ABN AMRO + Techstars Future of Finance programme, Sorair Technologies, and e-commerce automation startup Vortex IQ, which raised a $1M seed round in 2024.
