GoCardless is a London fintech founded in 2011 that processes bank-to-bank payments, including Direct Debit and open-banking payments, for subscription businesses, SaaS companies, utilities and other organisations collecting recurring revenue across more than 30 countries. Co-founder Hiroki Takeuchi leads the company as CEO. Its funding history includes a $95m Series F in December 2020 and a $312m Series G in 2022 that valued it at $2.1bn. In 2025 GoCardless completed the acquisition of fellow London fintech Nuapay from EML Payments, positioning it as a full-service bank payment provider able to send as well as collect money, and reported its first adjusted EBITDA-positive quarter for April to June 2025 after FY24 revenue of £127m, up 38%.
