Nscale designs, builds and operates large-scale AI data centres and GPU cloud infrastructure for hyperscalers, model developers and enterprises, with sites planned or under way in the UK, Norway, Portugal and the United States. It was founded in May 2024 by Josh Payne as a spin-out from Arkon Energy and is headquartered in London. The company has secured multibillion-dollar compute contracts, including a major agreement with Microsoft, and counts Nvidia among its investors. In March 2026 it raised a $2 billion Series C at a $14.6 billion valuation, led by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries. In September 2026 it filed for a proposed NYSE listing under the ticker NSCL, which had not priced at verification.
